Becker: Frome stone-sculpturing to
mathematics - Approximating the inscribed ball of regular polyhedra
The inscribed ball of a stone is approximated by successively
truncating vertices and edges. During this sculturing procedure
regular polyhedra with interesting geometrical properties are
generated. The changing surface geometries of these solids are documented by
using slides and stone-rubbings.
