F.1 Passports and Visas

For citizens of the countries of the European Community an identity card is sufficient. Citizens of other countries must be in possession of a valid passport, and for certain countries visas are required as well. Please consult the German Embassy or Consulate in your country for details. We have contacted the German Foreign Office on visa issues and do not expect difficulties. If you need a personal invitation to attend the Congress, you can request an official invitation letter.

We advise you to apply for a visa at least three months before the date on which you plan to leave for Germany. If you have not received a visa one month before the beginning of ICM'98, contact us by fax or e-mail (SUBJECT: visa). In order to help you, we need the following information: name, address and date of birth, passport number, date and place of visa application.
