• When you start Word, a blank document appears. You can type into this document.

• If you are using Word for the first time, the Office Assistant welcome will appear. To Start using Word, click the option in the Assistant window.

Can't find Microsoft Word on the menu?  You must install Word (or Office) on you system before you can use it.
