Call for Papers - Government Libraries SectionOpen Session - Theme: Changing governments, changing libraries Changing political systems do have - among other things - an impact on govern-ment libraries and information services. Being in Germany, where a lot of changes have taken place since German unification in 1990, it is good opportunity to reflect on this topic. The Section of Government Libraries plans an Open Session and an Off-site-Workshop. The Open Session focuses on experiences and examples from Eastern Europe and other countries with recent political changes, the workshop on German experiences. The Open Session seeks to bring together government and parliamentary librarians to:
The workshop focusses on German speakers presenting the German experience (new German Laender, move of the government from Bonn to Berlin...). The Open Session will probably take place on Wednesday, August 6th. It will be fol-lowed by the Off-site Workshop on Thursday, August 7th, in one of the German Federal ministries in Berlin. Note: No financial support can be provided, but a special invitation can be issued to authors of accepted papers.
