On the spectrum of gauge periodic point perturbations on the Lobachevsky plane

In this note we show that certain perturbations (the socalled point perturbations) of the magnetic Schrödinger operator on the hyperbolic plane have their resolvent in a C*-algebra introduced by Brüning and Sunada. This allows conclusions on band structure and gap labelling of the spectrum.
