Two specific titles we want are not listed in Microforms in Print. Wray, Leonard. The practical sugar planter; a complete account of the cultivation and manufacture of the sugar-cane... London: Smith Elder and Co., 1848 Fawcett, William. The banana, its cultivation, distribution and commercial uses. London: Duckworth and Co., 1913. Please send any advice to me via email. I was wondering if any acquisitions librarians use either Baker & Taylor, Brodart, or Ingram to do the major portion of their ordering from, and if so, what have your experiences with these companies been like in terms of service quality. If you do not use any one of the three and you were awarded the opportunity to do so, which one would you choose and why. Thank you in advance for your time. Hello, Does anyone know of a vendor besides Midwest that will automatically send copies of best-sellers from the _New York Times_ or _Publisher's Weekly_ best-seller lists? We had been on Midwest's plan for some time, but had to cancel a while back. Now that we have a reasonable budget again, we'd like to get back into something like this, but Midwest isn't taking any more customers for their service. Thanks for your help. Julie C. Hashert Subject: Acquisitions Materials Vendors Hello, Here at Auraria Library we will soon be implementing the Acquisitions subsystem of Innopac. In conjunction with this, we will be taking a look at our materials vendors for approval plans, firm orders and standing orders and trying to see which vendor best meets our needs. We have sent Requests for Information to several vendors and will be inviting them in for presentations very soon. I wonder if any of you would like to share your experiences--good or bad--with any of the major materials vendors. If you are an Innopac library, all the better (but not necessary). If you wish to respond to me directly, my email is: chashert@carbon.cudenver.edu Thank you, ***** Cynthia F.
