About AMCA
This site serves as a resource for conferences and meetings.
We have a calendar of conference announcements, listing a broad range
of meetings in the mathematical, statistical and computing sciences.
We also provide an abstract processing service.
There is no fee to use our services.
Our goal is to provide free information helpful in both
research and education.
We want to create a large and useful source of scientific information
with much original content.
Conferences
Our conference calendar lists conference announcements.
We list upcoming conferences and maintain an archive of past conferences.
All conference organizers are invited to add their conference announcement
to our calendar.
Abstracts
We have a comprehensive service for collecting, processing and
publishing abstracts of talks presented at conferences.
At first, the conference organizers must use our setup form
to begin using our services.
Conference participants may then use our submission form
to submit abstracts.
Each conference has a form allowing the user to view any and
all of that conference's abstracts.
Each conference has a (private) management page allowing the
conference organizers to audit or to edit submitted abstracts.
The management page also gives the organizer access
to a customized booklet, in LaTeX, of all accepted abstracts.
After the conference's abstract submission deadline,
all the accepted abstracts are archived and stored permanently
on the AMCA server.
Authors retain full copyright of their submitted abstract.
Please see our legal notices for more information.
More Information for Organizers
All conference organizers are invited to add their conference
announcement to our calendar.
Organizers are also invited to setup their conference to use
our abstract processing service.
There is a special setup form for organizers.
Organizers will be able to monitor the submission
process for their conference.
Organizers can choose to audit incoming submissions.
In ths case, submitted abstracts will appear on the conference's
(private) management page but will not be displayed to the public until
the organizers push the appropriate button on their management page.
Organizers can also choose to setup the process so that
all submitted abstracts are displayed immediately.
The management page allows the organizers to accept or
to reject any submitted abstract, regardless of the 'audit'
option (which can be changed, as can any of the original
setup information).
A few words about TeX
All of the text that is entered into our submission
forms is expected to be in TeX, or in any of its variations.
We feel that this is the optimal incoming format, as we expect
scientific submissions from around the world.
This also allows us to include the text of the abstracts into TeX
documents, in particular, a customized conference abstract booklet in
LaTeX.
In order to display your submissions on this website,
our software processes your entered text from TeX to HTML.
The conversion software is robust, but it is not perfect.
All our submission forms allow the user to preview the
converted display of their submissions.
Our submission forms always end with a 'Final Submission"
button, so you are welcome to test our software and preview
the result even if you are not yet prepared to make an
official submission.
As you can see from our submission forms, you are not
supposed to submit complete TeX documents, but if you have
to include mathematical symbols, formulas or accent marks
in your text, then you should use TeX.
About this site
This site is the product of a cooperative venture of a few
mathematicians from around the world.
This site's development team is a part of the
larger collective effort of mathematicians and computer scientists who
have created and maintain the site
Topology Atlas,
where this site's automated processing of conference
abstracts was originally developed.
If you would like to join our development team, please
