Abstract The differentiation of various leasion of the mammary gland of the bitch playes an important role in veterinary practice. In this thesis, systematic ultrasonic examination of the mammary gland is carried out and the results are compared to histological findings. The sonographic images of the normal as well as of the non-neoplastic altered mammary gland are presented.
