The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 gives you new legal rights to view information held by Scottish public authorities. This is not limited to giving information out when it is requested from us.
We will also pro-actively publish information in the form of a Publication Scheme*, approved by the Scottish Information Commissioner. The Publication Scheme is intended to release as much information as possible, and to make it easy for you to locate the information you need.
The Historic Scotland Publication Scheme includes information on:
- HS services
- The costs of HS services
- The standards we reach in delivering our services
- The reasons for the decisions we make.
Where possible, information published under this Publication Scheme is made available to download directly from this website in Adobe Portable Document Format (pdf).
See our Recently Released Information Log for an index of information released in response to FOI requests. For Corporate information including Board meetings minutes and papers, please view our Corporate News pages.
*Historic Scotland’s Publication Scheme is required by section 23 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
